Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-10-13
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Telegram Calendar — the @Calendar0bot Telegram bot, the web app at calendar-tg.app, its API and its connectors for AI assistants such as ChatGPT (the "Service") — collects, uses, stores and deletes your data. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
2. Data We Collect
- Telegram account data: Telegram user ID, first and last name, username, language and the timezone you set. Used to identify your account.
- Calendar data you create: events, tasks, reminders, recurrence rules, locations, notes, calendars and sharing settings.
- Messages to the bot: the text of messages you send to @Calendar0bot and the bot's messages to you (daily plans, reminders, change notices).
- Connected calendars: if you connect Google Calendar or a CalDAV account (iCloud, Yandex and others), the access tokens or credentials needed for sync and the synced events. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address.
- Google Tasks: if you connect Google and choose a task list, the tasks in that list — titles, notes, completion status, due dates and whether a task was deleted — and the list of your task lists, so you can pick which one to sync.
- Secretary mode: if you connect the bot to your Telegram Business account, messages in the chats you allow, used to suggest events.
- Payments: Telegram Stars order records (amount, date, product, status). We never receive card data.
- Optional cycle tracker: if you turn it on, the dates you mark. This health-related data is used only to show your own cycle, is off by default and is not available to ChatGPT.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser details, request logs and error reports.
- Usage analytics: anonymous usage events (e.g. button clicks) to improve the Service.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide calendar features: creating, editing, syncing and reminding about events.
- To understand requests written in natural language (see section 4).
- To keep the Service stable and secure and to fix errors.
- To process payments and apply plan limits.
- To improve the Service, including reviewing recent messages of users who left to understand what went wrong.
We never sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers.
4. AI Processing and ChatGPT
- Messages you send to the bot are processed by third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI and Google) to understand requests like "move my meeting to Friday". We send only the message and the recent context needed for that request.
- Google data and AI: events and tasks synced from Google become part of your calendar in the Service. When you ask the bot to work with your events, a slice of your upcoming events and tasks — title, start and end time, status and recurrence, for the period relevant to your request — may be sent to an AI model provider as context, in the same form as events you created directly. Your Google access tokens are never sent to AI providers. We do not use data received from Google APIs to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- If you connect Telegram Calendar to ChatGPT or another AI assistant, it can read your calendar and, with the
calendar.writepermission, create and change events in your account through our API. It cannot access other users' data. You can revoke access at any time in the assistant's settings; deleting your account revokes it too.
5. Who Receives Data
- Telegram — delivers messages and processes Stars payments.
- Hosting provider — our servers and encrypted backups are located in Russia.
- AI model providers — see section 4.
- Google, Apple iCloud, Yandex or another CalDAV provider — only if you connect them.
- ChatGPT (OpenAI) or another AI assistant — only if you connect it.
- Authorities — only if required by law.
Error monitoring is self-hosted on our own servers.
6. Google Calendar and Google Tasks
- What we access: with your permission we read your Google calendar list to show which calendars can be synced, read and write events in the calendars you choose to sync, list your Google Tasks lists so you can pick one, and read, create, update, complete and delete tasks in that chosen list.
- Why: two-way sync. Events and tasks you create, edit, complete or delete in the Service are created, updated or deleted in Google, and changes you make in Google Calendar or Google Tasks are imported into the Service, so both stay the same.
- Limited Use: calendar-tg.app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Revoking access: you can disconnect Google in the sync settings of the Service, or remove the Service at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting in the Service revokes the token with Google and deletes the access and refresh tokens we stored; sync stops. Events and tasks already synced into the Service or into Google are not deleted by disconnecting.
7. Data Retention
- Messages to and from the bot: deleted automatically by type — daily plans after 3 days, service records after 2 days, reminders and notifications after 14 days (only the last 10 of each kind are kept), all other messages after 30 days.
- Secretary mode messages: up to 30 days; in small chats (up to 100 messages) older messages are kept longer as context. They are deleted with your account.
- Calendar data, notes and settings: while your account exists. Deleted events are removed permanently after 30 days.
- Uploaded files: unused files after 30 days, other files after 6 months.
- Error reports: 30 days.
- Backups: encrypted database backups are rotated and kept for up to 6 months.
- Payment records: kept for accounting and to honour paid plans.
8. Your Controls and Account Deletion
- View, edit and delete your events in the bot or the web app.
- Disconnect Google, CalDAV, Secretary mode or AI assistants at any time.
- Delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete Account. Your events, reminders, calendars, notes, messages, files, sync connections, API keys and access grants are deleted immediately.
- We keep a minimal record (Telegram ID, timezone, language, plan and limits) and payment records to apply limits and honour paid plans if you come back. Copies in backups disappear within 6 months.
- Deleting your account does not remove events from your Google Calendar or other connected calendars.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise these rights, contact us (section 13).
10. Cookies
The web app uses local storage and cookies only to keep you signed in and store preferences.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
The current version is always available at https://calendar-tg.app/webapp/documents/privacy. We announce significant changes in the bot.
